Original black cloth boards. Wear to jacket, including a few small tears and chips. A piece of dust jacket is missing from a back panel (see image). Michael Rockefeller, and other members of the Harvard-Peabody Expedition to New Guinea in 1961. Rockefeller was later to die in New Guinea, and the magnificent ethnographical art wing of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York is dedicated to him. The photographic portraits are quite stunning.
